Amador Barn Owl House sun shades keep interior temperatures up to 15 degrees cooler. Top, 2 sides and back panel, to prevent full most prevalent areas from sun exposure. Not necessary for all for climates, but highly valuable when required. This set it painted white.

For areas where day time temperatures exceed 85 degree high daily for the months of May and June, we recommend using the sunshade panels on an all white Amador Barn Owl Box. Sun shades install on the outside of the box and are elevated off the sides to provide shade coverage of the actual walls of the box. With an East or Southeast facing owl box, sunshades are only ever necessary on the top and West side of the box.
