For areas where day time temperatures exceed 85 degree high daily for the months of May and June, we recommend using the sunshade panels on an all white Amador Barn Owl Box. Image shown shows cedar paneled owl box with cedar paneled shade roof. Sun shades install on the outside of the box and are elevated off the box to provide shade coverage of the box. With an East or Southeast facing owl box, sunshades are only ever necessary on the top and if still needed, the West side of the box.
