Using an old fashioned combination of rope and pulley makes hoisting a habitat up into a tree (or structure) much easier. Set includes 75’ of polypropylene (more durable than nylon) rope, 125lb pulley, and lag bolt for securing pulley. All are reusable.

The polypropylene “truck rope” secured to one of our habitats, then run through a pulley secured to the destination tree, (or structure) allows for easily lifting the box to the location and holding it in place while mounting it. This is the same rope, pulley and hardware combination we use when installing. It’s tested many times over, and the pulley is an 100% metal type with nickel coating for anti-corrosion. Lifting an owl house with the rope and pulley method works fine with 1 person installing, but having 2 adds for a higher degree of safety. We’ve routinely re-used this combination for years.
